Austin, San Marcos, TX Press Releases

(Austin.CityRegions.Com, May 02, 2016 ) Austin, TX -- OneTweak CEO, Jan Brauner, announced the debut of their new lustrous pearl white pedometer on Amazon. "We ‘tweaked' our original version for several reasons," Brauner noted. She called the online universe a "veritable feast of choices." "I feel strongly that competition and choices make Amazon an extraordinary shopping experience. We wanted to extend that experience to our own customers. We live in a diverse world; a one-size-fits-all mindset no longer works."
She also noted that OneTweak has a new model on the drawing board. "I take customer feedback extremely seriously; it has proven invaluable to our company. We have incorporated the feedback we have received into our upcoming model. I cannot wait to debut it." Brauner said that the new model will be released shortly and will be announced on OneTweak's website.
Brauner stated that companies must be both nimble and responsive in the marketplace if they are to survive. "Today's tech-savvy customers no longer feel beholden to impersonal big-name corporations. They don't want to pay for a name. Yes, they want quality. They want affordability. But, they want so much more.
They want that personal touch. They want positive responsive interaction. They want control over the experience…the search, the freedom to decide, the ability to forge their own market." She said the online universe expanded the power of the consumer in ways unexpected. "We need to embrace this new frontier," she said.
Brauner said there was another compelling reason for the new model. "I believe that partners who walk together, talk together. I wanted to encourage walking with someone-- a spouse, a partner, a child, a friend, a co-worker…even a stranger-- and send a subliminal message that tandem walking rocks!"
Walking confers extraordinary benefits on everyone, young, old, or in-between, she explained. "While the physical benefits are extraordinary," she stated, "the psychosocial benefits often get overlooked." "Walking with another person paints your interior and exterior worlds in lovelier, more vivid hues."
"We now spend more time on our phones than we do in meaningful contact with others," she said. "Most of us live at such a frenetic pace, that we no longer know how to be ‘in the moment' ourselves, much less with others. We are distracted. Our world slams us with fast-pinging imagery faster than we can absorb. We receive and perceive our world in sound-bites and flashes. Our attention spans have shortened."
"Walking changes that," she said.
She pointed to her story on OneTweak's website to highlight the width and breadth of the walking experience. In her words, "I don't think it is hyperbole to say that a pedometer can be life-changing if it gets you to walk more…to live more."
When asked, Brauner said she generally walks alone because her schedule varies dramatically from day to day. "Running a business is a 24/7 proposition. I never know when I'll squeeze in my walk."
She said this does not diminish the experience or its benefits for her. "Walking gives me time to think, to plan, to ponder, and to soak in the beauty around me," she said. "It gets me in the moment. But, there's more than one ‘right' way to walk," she said. "Walk alone. Walk with another person. Change it up if you prefer. Just walk! You'll never be the same again! Promise."
